Dr. Eng. Irena Budnik started her studies at the State Higher Vocational School in Gniezno, majoring in Environmental Protection. Engineering work on "Determination of bitterness content in beer by spectrophotometric method" was prepared at the Institute of Environmental Protection under the supervision of Dr. Agnieszka Matłoka. In 2009, she began her master's studies at the Poznań University of Technology, Faculty of Chemical Technology, majoring in Environmental Protection Technologies. Master's thesis "Study of selenium speciation in parapharmaceutical preparations using high-performance liquid chromatography with a tandem mass spectrometer (HPLC-MS/MS)" prepared at the Institute of Chemistry and Technical Electrochemistry, Department of Analytical Chemistry under the supervision of Dr. Eng. Joanna Zembrzuska. She defended her master's thesis with a Master's degree in Environmental Protection Technology, specializing in Monitoring. In 2011, she graduated from the Pedagogical College of the Poznań University of Technology at the Faculty of Computer Science and Management in the field of Educational Competences in the field of polytechnic subjects, obtaining pedagogical qualifications. On October 1, 2010, she began her studies as part of the Doctoral Study "Chemical Technology" at the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Poznań University of Technology. PhD thesis entitled "Microbiological central cleavage of ethoxylated alcohols" was prepared in the Department of General and Analytical Chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry and Technical Electrochemistry of the Poznań University of Technology under the supervision of prof. dr hab. Eng. Zenon Łukaszewski. She defended her doctoral dissertation on June 9, 2015 at the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Poznań University of Technology, obtaining the degree of Doctor of Chemical Sciences in the field of chemistry. The doctoral thesis was co-financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund "Scholarship support for doctoral students in fields considered strategic from the point of view of the development of Wielkopolska" implemented in 2013-2014. After doctoral studies, she gained experience in the validation of analytical methods, working with the ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 systems. She also worked in a laboratory where the GMP quality system was introduced.
Role in the project (Post-doc): Development and optimization of analytical methods for drug quantification, preparation of human skin release tests, participation and support of in vivo studies on animals, analysis and discussion of the results; Reporting the results of conducted experiments; participation in the publication of results.
